TURKEY SHOOTS

Turkey shoots begin first Saturday in October at 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and end on last Saturday in February (except major holidays). Family Fun for all.

TURKEY SHOOT RULES 2005

  1. Stock Shotguns only.
  2. Range hours for Sunday are 12:00 noon until 5:00 P.M.
  3. All Ammunition will be furnished by the Club no exceptions.
  4. No Optical sights.
  5. All target judging will be against a lighted surface with a caliper used in close calls. Any contestant may request a remeasurement before the next round begins. No request for remeasurement will be honored unless called before the next round begins.
  6. All guns subject to choke test at any time.
  7. In the extent of a tie between shooters the next pellet closest to the center will be used to determine the winner.
  8. A target judge may not shoot in any round that he will be judge.
  9. No target puller may shoot in any round that he will be pulling targets in.
  10. All shots must be fired standing or kneeling no outside supports allowed.
  11. Any infractions to these rules will be presented to the highest-ranking Cherokee Rod & Gun officer at the shoot for correction of the infraction.
